Hi none of the version of byond don't work on lindows :(. any help?
I'm not sure exactly how Lindows works, but the Linux version of BYOND should work fine with it.

nope :( lindows don't work we exe's

but the linux version of byond isnt in a .exe

Lindows is just Debian linux, with extra easy support for users. If you have WINE installed then you stand a chance of getting it to work, that chance is VERY slim though as no-one here has got it anywhere near working condition. :/

This is a extream shame people on other OS Platforms cannot also enjoy Byond and it's never ending flow of enegry, fun and ridicule <--(now watch me get yelled at for spelling that wrong!)

Anyways, I really do wish we have 1 universal OS system, instead of all these others to choose from, then we PC users could all dance around in a big circle of happiness instead of dance in all our own little sub circles and cuss the other circles out.

I have, though it was a while ago and a few stuff didn't work (Colored chat, and pop-up windows)..took a while and I had to get alot of dll files for it to work though since before it didn't even get passed installation ><

[edit] shades got in while I was posting so I'll just reply in an edit :P

If we were only able to choose from one OS then I don't really think we would be dancing...we'd be running in horror from no choice ;)

Maybe, maybe not, when something, like a food or something, is the way enough people like it, most people will go with that anyways.

Its nice to see Apple is adding Windows Emulator Software.

While either Microsoft or Apple (depending on which was the only OS) decided what we should be allowed to do with <s>our</s> their computers.

MS Virtual PC for MAC runs Win2K rather well on a G4 from what I've seen at school... =)

We tried running UT 2004 on a e-mac, on a reso of 512xsomething and it ran so slow i had to pull the power 3 minutes in the game.
In response to Critical
Well, that's different isn't it? UT2004 is playable on most recent systems, but emulation isn't exactly fast.
In response to Critical
I've played UT2004 on a 17" iMac just fine running under MacOSX (no emulation) - it runs natively. In fact it is silly to run games under emulation when are versions for the Mac. (And if you say there are no good games for the Mac, you obviously don't get out much- ref: [link] for a short list)

And there's my recently finish game Thelema that runs not only on Windows, but Mac and Linux as well :).

I ran the demo nativley, and it too went extremely slow.

If something runs poorly natively why would emulation improve preformance? Since all you're doing is adding an extra layer of complication.

I never said i ran it emulating, i was replying to him because he mentioned G4's

true. eMacs are not exactly race-horses in the video and processing department. I was referring to the latest iMacs which have better video cards and faster processors. eMacs tend to fill the niche of the older all-in-one iMacs as an education/internet-kiosk/writing-papers/playing-music-n-dvds type of computer.
