Updating a demo is now harder...

Some days ago I downloaded a game's demo, and after one week I tried to get the updated version through it's HUB. I had to click Uninstall and then Install again to get the updated version because BYOND wasn't recognizing the update through the website & pager. Is this a bug, or is it meant to be this way?

No, it wasn't increased, but shouldn't BYOND automatically recognize the update when the hosting files are changed? At least when they are on download button :S

Even though we change the hub version to a higher number.
BYOND does not auto recognize an update and so, if a player clicks the Download button he'll still get the old version.

He will need to actually open pager, check for updates and update the demo. I believe BYOND should automatically update when user clicks the download if the hub version was changed.
