Usually all data is lost when you dont save. Unlike a byond game, your computer probaly doesn't save all your files before it shuts down. :-P

Not to be mean or anything, but what does this have to do with coding?

Mega Fart Cannon the loss of my Map has a lot to do with "my" coding in general. I really needed that map as a base of my world so I could use it for reference

the file has been lost .. is there anyway to get the file back or to recover it? Please help I'm thinking these two things are related: it's possible that restoring your system from a hard drive image wiped your hard disc back to a stage before that map was finished. Or am I overthinking this? Anyway, I've never once seen an instance where a file is spontaneously deleted while you're working on it; that file is probably around there somewhere. Do a search in Windows Find for all files named "*.dmp", and you'll likely find it. Incidentally, what the other guys are saying is correct. The forums aren't a chatroom, and the people who read your post might not know what you're talking about or might not have any solutions for you. It's always a good idea to give at least 24 hours -- and sometimes even up to a couple of days -- for any replies. |

If this is the right forum for people who need help hosting to post on, it's the right one for this sort of problem too, even though this one isn't as likely to get expert help as the former. |
