byond:// links

I was wondering why the byond:// links inside of DreamSeeker windows can't just open a new DreamSeeker window rather than disconnecting from the current session? I mean, why not just run the operation performed by the Pager's useful Open Location command? It's such a hassle to go and copy+paste those links into Open Location just so that you can keep the current session while opening a new one.
