Yeah I never seen such a sad episode I wanted to comment on it and ask you guys what you think. I didn't read the manga ahead so please don't spoil me. Here we go:
1) Chimera queen is severely damaged. Sad for the (somewhat) good ants. But why? She was able to give birth to all the ants before and the hatching huge egg thing was separate of the Queen but this time it was part of her and giving birth to the King severely damaged the Queen.
2) Ruthless King and his Royal Guards. They kill their own, eat their own and not care for the Queen. Horrible!
3) Gon and Killua losing to Knuckle and Shoot. That was surprising. I just wish they had first showed the full fights instead of a few short scenes we've seen. Gon cried. It was so sad. But I bet Gon and Killua have more potential and Knuckle and Shoot. Its just that the latter have more experience and are older.
What do you guys think of this episode? Please don't spoil me.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I did?!?!? Shoot I will post it now!!!

Heh. It gets much, much more depressing if that disturbed you.
I'm going to warn you, it only goes completely downhill for a long, long time. As a matter of fact, until the Chimera Ant arc ends, and the beginning of the next arc it's -well like you said depressing, but I guess dire is a more fitting word. BUT it's also HELLA AWESOME with the events that occur(particularly the fights, confrontations and Killua- he turns into even more of a bad-ass) and I can honestly say it ends very well. With the exception of one or two plot twists. |

I actually shed a couple tears while reading it in the Manga. Particularly at the ending of the huge climactic fight. Be that as it may though, it made it a GREAT experience for Gon and Killua to put some well-earned experience under their belts. BTW: Dariuc -- Do you know what happened to the Manga and its author? Has it been on hiatus all this time still or have I missed something...? |

If I may answer this, the author Yoshihiro Togashi returned from his hiatus.

Still hiatus, I can't wait until it starts back up though. Dark Continent. XD

Damn you, when I saw the thread title I thought this was actual news another ''when will the hiatus end'' You just raised my hopes and crushed them in a second OT: Togashi is was sick last time I heard anything about him and that was years ago but even then he's grown too old by now to weekly draw manga so he's gonna take the same path as Yu Gi Oh did and just give his ideas in sketch to his animation company and they will make it directly into an anime. So when the anime reaches the end of the X Day arc and the the beginning of the Dark continent arc then the anime will just continue on with out the manga.U__U. |
Well, I guess that's fine and all, but I was more so hoping that the Manga would continue as I prefer reading Manga to watching Anime. At least the Anime isn't going to abruptly end though, so that's good.

I like both equally, you always have a more fluid idea of what happens when you see it animated, sometimes some artists really fail to convey what is happening manga-wise, though I never had that problem with HxH. Killua and Kurapika are two of my favorite characters though so I'm really excited to see them get some action. Particularly the way the last manga issue ended had me screaming "YES THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME" because I knew what was about to happen. LoL.

You do of course realize you just posted a plot summary of the entire latest episode though with no spoiler warning.
