Hai all.

Been a while since I posted on these boards so I thought I should do something worthwhile.. I think.

I'm not sure if it's already there, but my searches have come up with nothing - the ability to actually edit the style of borders, tabs and other controls.

For example, I wanted to change the output box from 3D border, to a plain 1px thick black border; or another - I wanted to change the tabs from 3D to a simple flat tab with a simple 1px thick border.

Is this possible?

If not, can it be made possible? More styling settings on the Interface will allow for further customisation of games, and will undoubtably attract the attention of a lot more game developers.

Thanks,

I think BYOND 4.0 will include alot of this stuff.
I'm waiting for it's release to find out.
As far as I know there is no current function to alow you to change those functions, although with clever coding you can using browser windows and make your "alerts" (which you replace with the windows) look nice that way.
Completely possible with BYOND 4.0. Just have some patience.

You can turn the border on and off for controls, but not customize it completely. The tab control's colors and text are not at this time customizable; though the parameters are there. The info control is a bigger can of worms, because its color/text settings control the pages, not the tabs.

Are any of these changes planned for 4.0's official release, though?

Everything I mentioned except what I said isn't supported, is in BYOND 4.0. A great deal of customization options are available.

On the other hand, it wouldn't be too hard to replace the statpanel setup with graphical buttons and grids, which would give you much better control over the whole interface look.

I thought the stat panel was always a grid?

Buttons and Grids are 4.0 interface elements. Nothing to do with statpanels.
