I have had this idea for a while and think that it could potentially lead to more income for BYOND. There have been translation API's around for a while, however Bing recently re-launched their translation widget and facebook is not using it to provide real-time comment translation to your language.
There are a lot of Portuguese speaking individuals on BYOND to name just one community that I have experience with, currently though, BYOND really doesn't cater to them. Most of the Portuguese speaking members stay away from the community as very few people go out of their way to manually translate anything that is said. I personally think this should change, and the Bing Widget could be a viable option.
Anyone else ever thought of this?

It would indeed increase some popularity with the communication in the community. How does this work out with the people who talk like, "hai, snipedragon. long tym no see, huh? I waz wondring if you dnt mind givin me sum $." That's the only question I have. ._.

It does not, at least not very well. Whats cool though, is that when you set your language on facebook, it automatically detects posts from people not with your language, and gives you the option to translate.
