well sight changing is great fun! but theres a funny scenario as discovered on my naruto game.

If you make it so that just turfs are blacked out, as i did for a illusion technique, it does a curious thing! I use turfs that block your line of sight, so we can have multiple interriors on one map etc. You know everybody does it. Turns out, if you have the turfs only toggled, haha you can see past the light blocking turfs. So an effect that is supposed to simply hurt your sight actually makes you able to see things you shouldnt be able to. Aka players in other rooms in other villages!!

This isnt really a bug, but its funny and i would like to ask that maybe luminosity blocking turfs still have that effect even if the turf itself is invisible to the player.
What you're seeing is intended behavior. SEE_TURFS makes all turfs visible.

... nono, misunderstood.

Theres a wall, which blocks sight.

behind that wall is another player.

When SEE_TURFS is OFF i can see the other player! oh nos!

And SEE_MOBS isn't enabled for some bizarre reason?

(This should be a bug report, by the way)

hehe i donno if its a bug or not. It might be meant to not be effected by luminoscity settings for non seen turfs, but i think thats not very good.

Uhm, yeah you can still see mobs because its mimicking an attack from an anime, in which an illusion is cast where everything is made dark except the people.

We have SEE_MOBS for being able to see a mob on non-seen turfs.

I didn't ask if you can still see mobs, I asked if SEE_MOBS was enabled. It's one of the sight flags.

hmm, well my example was a tad flawed
Its SEE_OBJ thats still enabled and SEE_SELF

That way you can see things like enemy attacks and not the enemies. Uhm, so no SEE_MOBS is not enabled but my point is the same, you can see things past unseen turfs that still are supposed to block sight.
