_dms_prepare, _dms_new_kernel, and other such functions

Bandock	I would like to know if such functions had any use years ago when DMS files were still more common. Haven't found any information on these functions in the forums. So, I would like to know if ya have any info on these undocumented DMS functions?

Jtgibson	All anyone ever did with DMS is use their MIME type for connection to BYOND programs, and define stylesheets and macrosheets. Anything else is entirely undocumented and probably implemented vestigially.
