BYOND Error: Failed to certify [input key]

What does this mean and what does it do? It's been showing up in Dream Daemon lately.

It means somebody failed some security check when trying to log in, and usually attempting to log in again will "fix" it. It has been around forever, supposedly setting client.authenticate to 0 would bypass it, but I didn't notice any results.

Oh sorry, I saw someone else post a question about..well something in this section before and got the wrong idea.
