I'd like to be able to double-click a color from the 'Colors in use' panel and have an 'Alpha in use' panel display under it. The Alpha panel would look just like the Colors panel, only it would show every alpha instance of the selected color instead. Changing the alpha number would effect all pixels of that color+alpha throughout the icon.

I fully support this. Seconded.

I would definitely appreciate that, and the ability to change the alpha of a color when using the Colors > Edit option.

Also the ability to increase or decrease the transparency of the entire icon easily. It's a pain importing and exporting multiple frames just to make a simple fade effect.

I think alpha as a function of the entire palette makes more sense, but that only really works properly in an environment with layers. Perhaps a "palette alpha" slider could accompany the alpha level selection of an individual colour, which would be a function of the "master" alpha. For instance, a colour defined ff0000a3 with a palette alpha of 200 would result in ff00007f ((200/255) = 0.78; 0.78*163 = 127). |
