Byond should make Ip logs of everyone who logs in with their keys. Why is the reason I suggest this? Simple, in case of "hacking" of others accounts. Lets say I log in with the same Ip for like 3 weeks, and I get hacked one day. But sadly, I lost the first email I input so I have no way of receiving my account back. Well, with IP logs I could take it up with the Support team or whatever and they can go through the logs and notice if there has been any sudden changes in the IP. Of course everyone probably changes their IP a few times in their life so people will say it's a stupid idea because they wouldn't be able to find anything different. Well, I doubt that someone will hack your account right away after you obtained a new IP. Byond support can easily go through a quick list and see "hmm this guys Ip is 192.168.0.1 for a week and then changed today(the day the guy claimed to be hacked?)"
I don't know if this idea is any good, or will even be considered. But it could make it safer for people in case they lose accounts that they could have important things on and such. Just sayin....
IPs are already logged. It's just much more difficult than you think it is to actually do what you are describing. IP addresses are not actually all that static.

Even if the IP is changed, if it's from the same router then it wouldn't change much. Only like minor changes will be made. It would still show up in the same location if you traced the IP

3 weeks ago my IP started with 65.
My IP now starts with 72.

And the rest of the numbers have changed.

Little change? Possibly.

Routers assign local IP Addresses ex:
192.168.0.1 = router address
192.168.0.2 = computer 1;
192.168.0.3 = computer 2;
Which are not viewable from a website.

yeah Still three weeks ago, it doesn't change like every day.
I'm just saying that someone could probably see if there has been a sudden change in IP address instead of a few days of the same address.

Except with IP pooling from some ISPs, it does change every day or few days, and geographically is tied to about ... X country. Only in large expansive countries like the US do you see IP addresses being more closely tied to a region. My IP addresses on this broadband account have only ever tied to "UK", and my previous broadband account liked to switch between "London, UK" and "Amsterdam, Netherlands", neither of which happened to be where I was.

I am afraid it is exactly as Garthor says.

There should still be a way to do something in a way I suggested. Okay, Some have it saved to their computer. Instead of having IP logs they can use the Computers to do as I suggested. I have seen it in games before, that things changed when you used a different computer

People don't get "hacked" on BYOND, they have poor passwords (on keys or email services) or do stupid things with their private information. This is simply not an issue BYOND should have to guard against any more than it does currently. Thry have given you the tools to protect yourself.

Well thought I would suggest it anyways XD
