Swordslam46	Hey everyone, I was just wondering, is it possible to make games on Linux? I was making them before I switched over and I don't know if Linux can make them or not. I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 if it helps.

Define making games on Linux?

If via BYOND, it is possible but not that nice, seeing as BYOND doesn't have great support on Linux.

DMIDE is an option but it hasn't had any activity from what I've heard ever since their last post.

WINE is also an option, but I've never been able to get that to work on my Linux machine so I just gave up hope.

If you mean without BYOND, it is most definetely possible.

Just download a compiler for whatever language you're using, and of course have a decent knowledge of that language and start developing.

Swordslam46	Hmm I should have been more specific. Making games with BYOND. I've tried making games with Java... it didn't go too well XD
