for some odd reason i cant log into my byond pager
i tried logging into guest to make sure it wasn't just my account that couldn't log in, but i couldn't log into my guest account either! i just recently updated to the 4.79 (latest) so i dont know what has happened now..
someone please tell me why? or how to log back into my pager

@ galactic - no, when i click log in it goes into this offline status (like it does before it actually takes u online) and stays there. this is like the 3rd time its happened to me before

The problem is that most firewalls that allow Internet access on a program-by-program basis instead of being open for all are, by default, configured to do some version checking in the event of a viral infection changing the program files. (This is unlikely. Most infections these days are simple trojans; an actual virus modifying your files would be identified much sooner.) When people allow their BYOND programs access to the Internet, they usually don't think to turn off the version check. BYOND updates change the files, and then the firewall simply refuses them access instead of doing the smart thing and asking the user to re-verify the program. Lummox JR | |
