One Idea that might have been brought up (but I couldn't find)
Is cell phone alerts.
Exactly the same way the byond pager has its alerts.
It would be great if you would receive messages, and forum, page, game, or other alerts on posts that you have posted or are linked to in some way through your cell phone.
If your running a game through a shell server and your not paying attention or your not there, you could get an alert saying your game is offline, so that you know to alert others or fix it.
And for people who help with forum questions and such, they would easily be able to do it on their cell without worrying about the crappy look of byond on a cell phone browser.
I'm not talking about adding an app or anything that would let you play any games or anything. Just something to keep you alert with things, new updates, etc...

Already do this, but it would still be a lot nicer to have one specifically for byond. I get at least 20 emails or more a day, and I don't wanna go through it looking for byond messages. You can always setup a new account just for BYOND stuff -- or set up some kind of filter that only forwards BYOND-related stuff.

Yeah but if an app was made for byond that had a miniature version of the site so you could still help people with forum problems and such then that would be a lot better. You can't go through forum with email, and the byond website is not meant for cell phones. | |
If your phone can run apps it should have no trouble loading the forum in the browser. There's also the miniforum. (http://www.byond.com/members/DreamMakers/forum/miniforum.cgi)
