Downgrading to 498 fixed this problem.

I'm not seeing this. I've been all over the code, especially changes in 499, but I can't find any indication of where a problem could crop up.
It would help to have more details from the crash, especially if you have a module name and address/offset where the crash occurred. (If you can get a stack trace, even better.) Meanwhile, I also recommend checking your BYOND install dir and looking in the help\ref folder. Compare that to the help\ref files in the BYOND download zip file. Do they have the same dates and sizes, or is there a difference? If you do see a difference, make a copy of your current reference files so I can check them out, and then replace them fresh from the zip. Since you reinstalled BYOND I don't think it's entirely likely this is the case, but it's worth checking nonetheless. |
