Tupac is the one with two stars beneath his name so I have to side with him.

Didn't think anyone remembered those post.
I do feel slightly bad for the abuse she's taking, but it's not completely uncalled for. The work is pretty bad and she should know it's bad. It's a lot harsher than it would be if she claimed to have this been her first attempts at photoshop, which is really what it looks like. BUT, as Tupac; I have to say that she is the best graphic artist alive and she shouldn't let anyone tell her anything different in her life. It's clear to me that her talent exceeds everyone else's by so far that they cannot see the beauty I see. She is SO talented as a graphic artist, that they gave her a degree in IT and programming, cause her art does the work for her. That's how good she is, dog. Keep your head up, girl. HAIL MARY. |
Yeah, kind of noticed how most people are these days and often don't know the person "That" well to say they are bad or not. There are usually all sorts of styles people use in their art. If you say someone is bad, then you haven't really seen a lot of styles. Everyone has a specialty and way of being artistic.
Never judge one by the book of its cover as they say.. Somehow, the Byond community has had the downfalls of how people act on the forums and can be sometimes "Too blunt" but I learn to respect for people's opinions, though not to let people get the best of me. Thank you,NNAAH.. Haha. I use to listen to a lot of Tupac in the days. I usually don't do color edits on my drawings.. But I have done a few for manga scans in the past for websites. Just never showed them. I often like exploring more. Though I am on the Photography side of touching things up and making backgrounds, also the photoshop air brushing. (It isn't hard and you do not need tutorials much, just that "Practice makes perfect") |

Could I see a chart of these 'cool points' and who has them? If I'm not the highest-ranked, I'm gonna set the record straight, with my A-K, I'm still the thug you love to hate.

Do you have any idea what bleeds are? Or font-management? That was cluttered as fuck, you had so many fonts going on, no idea what spacing and leading is, let's not even hit kerning. I will bypass your coloring and manga edits. But when you hit territory I have had studied and taken classes on for years, that is when I get pissy. Especially when you generalize all your art with the excuse "style!". Now 4chan isn't the best place to go for serious shit, but post your work. ALL the work you deem good, on /ic/ and /gd/. Then tell them it's just a "style". Unless you actually know the fundamentals to the artistic fields you are trying to display, do not post this bullshit prose about style. Photoshop CS[your version] Class Room In A Book Illustrator CS[your version] Class Room In A Book InDesign CS[your version] Class Room In A Book Those books will help you learn the basics of each little part of the programs. PS for your edits, Illustrator for your logo and branding, InDesign for print media and the like. Additionally here are some condensed links. http://www.squidoo.com/w-ic-i (Art stuff) http://books.gentoomen.org/ (~40GB of anything computer & math related, just because we can't count on ITT Tech to keep you refreshed) Sadly /gd/ has no online library yet so I am going to suggest some books for the basics of graphics design. http://www.amazon.com/Thinking-Type-2nd-revised-expanded/dp/ 1568989695/ref=sr_1_10?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1371674779&sr=1-1 0 http://www.amazon.com/Making-Breaking-Grid-Graphic-Workshop/ dp/1592531253/ref=pd_sim_b_1 http://www.amazon.com/ 101-Design-Methods-Structured-Organization/dp/1118083466/ ref=sr_1_14?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1371674889&sr=1-14 This is for anyone else in this thread: http://www.amazon.com/ Dressing-Man-Mastering-Permanent-Fashion/dp/0060191449/ ref=sr_1_34?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1371674907&sr=1-34 |

Woo-hoo for kerning!

(Never talked about the test flyer as a "style" loll. Just pointers.
It was actually the top part my uncle was looking for. He wanted me to "Test" and do whatever to the test flyer.. I've done other flyers in the past but I don't clutter like that all the time. Meaning: he was seeing how well I can take a model picture from the background and put it in another. Ps: I have a ton and when I mean tons.. I mean "crap tons" Of photoshop books, even before I was born and those as well, bought by my college friends. and yes I know what "Bleeds" are. You shouldn't judge how one does something by the looks. It's not like everyone's the best-est at something, ye know. Oh..and in the most days, people turn to only Photoshop only for logo'ing and what-not.. Usually you do not have to use every single one of those programs to get something right. You can use anything you want and what you want to make something look great. I like testing new ideas when I see them. But no one is better. Just remember. |
It's a damn shame people aren't. I'm not the "best-est" at something and it makes me damn well suicidal. It's depressing when people are not obsessive over being the best they can be. I 100% believe people who are not always striving to learn their "trade" are losers.
I will tell you what I want, what I really really want. I just want to see some BYOND users who show off their work, to show the vast sum of it. Show their progressions if they can, what they are doing now, and some ideas on what they think can be improved. I have a boner of rage and depression right now. Sure, use Photoshop for logos, that works if you know the exact size you're working in and you don't mind potential pixelation. Photoshop does offer points, same with Fireworks, but Illustrator should really be a prime tool. Vector art for logos and the like allow you to scale your work to any size and you do not lose quality. This is just getting obscene. |

If I still had my old things I would do something like that. I've had to reformat and I've changed computers and what-not, so the oldest things I have are probably about a year old.
|
It's not really research when all her facebook photos are public. That could change in the next few minutes though.

I can agree with that side Eni. and.. no problem.
Also, true, Albro1.xD It feels like the day I stepped into a college classroom that people fought about what their computers are better run on than others and that this person or whomever can't build a computer. |
She is saying it feels like the first day she stepped into a "college" classroom, and people were arguing over what computers are better than others (photoshop vs illustrator for logos), and that this or that person cannot build a computer (you are a sloth when it comes to learning graphic design, or rather saying other people cannot into proper practices).
