My first thought as well until I realized that it would have to be a pretty large and complex maze to require something external. At least in static terms.

Indeed, it only took a little over a second for me to generate a random 1000 tile basic maze.

Frankly, I don't mind if my source code is ripped apart and implanted into other projects. I don't mind if my art is either.

If Poplava needs the source code for judging/rules verification, then I don't mind giving it to him. If he intends on distributing the source code... well I don't mind that too much either. So long as I do well in the contest placing :)
I will not distribute the code or use any part of it without your consent. You are free to do so of course.

So I can actually send you a project I've already made and it'll be accepted? Assuming it meets the standards. Just want to be sure, cause this has been my plan ever since I read that.

Yup. I did a maze search and wasn't overly impressed with anything that popped up so I wasn't really concerned about allowing it.
Prepare to be impressed.
Or not.
Probably not.

Definitely not.
But I am tweaking the source a little bit just for your amusement :)

Thanks for help PopLava. But I am curious about few more things. Though this contest is creating fun games and is more of hobby type but I want to know on what things a game will be judged on? Gameplay, graphics, originality, music etc?

Id be really happy to know.

Thanks again!

Judged on all around best game so all of the above.
I think I might not actually have the time to enter this, unfortunately. Really wanted to fiddle around with raytracing up 3D views of a maze, but I've got jury duty this month and a large anime/videogames convention I'm helping to run coming up in July. :/
It's a gelatinous cube.

You've just blew my chances of reaching 1st place away! Amazing. :)

Rather off topic but do you still do all of your own art? I only ask because I remember playing a shooter of yours years ago and it seems to me you have improved so much if so, gj either way looks great.

I guess I'll post mine, then.
Your games have too many graphics. You don't stand a chance. :)
Looking good you two. :)

Everyone else, don't let a single screenshot of eye candy detour you. They may never finish or the game play may be so terrible that the eye candy can't make up for it. :)

Besides, we all know what it means when someone starts posting about their game in progress. ;)
I finished my game a long time ago, so I can brag without fear. You are all doomed.
Yet no screenshot :O

I WILL CALL YOUR BLUFF ;O
