How many frames is that? It looks really well done.
|
yeah i wanted to make the bullet/shell really pop out but couldn't quite get it the way i wanted. wonder if i could make this a daily thing but work is a killer.
|
@ATHK
It took around 20-30 minutes to make that. i used my wacom tablet to draw out the animation and then Photoshop to add the pretty stuff. |
There's no power behind that stab. It's like an "EH! Gunna getcha! EH!"
I mean, it's still really sexy, though. |
Power isn't the main attribute of spears rather precision stabs and its range advantage. it doesn't have much anticipation if that's what you mean because its simply a loop. it just focuses on inflicting multiple weaker hits.
forgot to mention this is a tier one skill :D |
Why? firstly the game isnt online. secondly people blew threw the content we had within a couple days. Our release strategy involves releasing fresh, get feedback, add in more > get more feedback >rinse> repeat. why? because we're doing a lot of unconventional design methods.
Again i say to everyone that's trying to poke holes, look at the version number. from release day onward we receive some really good feedback from people who actually saw through the pretty graphics. |
Tbh it does look good, but imo it doesn't feel right with that blurry effect thingy. By this i mean like it should just be the pixels :/ cause when you start making it look to good it doesn't blend well together.
|
Well I get a more dramatic effect when spells are glowed, SA is going for a style that i just started to incorporate with bleach revolution, since then ive been working on improving it to the point where it looks 'almost' professional. that style was glowy spells and magic skills, ive tried and just cant achieve the sort of mood the glowing sets with just regular pixel art.
Also you probably see it that way because the effect is shown on clean background, wait til you see it in game. @Zete: while still being novices in game development, all of us know what we are capable of, and that includes steering clear of unreasonable feedback. |
