On the topic of screwing Americans, it's FOOTBALL. Not SOCCER.

Soccer is a worldwide sport, played by millions around the globe everyday. Unfortunately, worldwide obviously does NOT include America. Therefore Americans stole the name football and gave the rest of the world soccer. Despite the name soccer is not played with a sock.

They should of called "football" handball or crappy rugby. Since's feet are hardly involved. (Kick offs and Field Goals are about the only time they are really all that involved.)

Anyone seen that Simpsons episode (Oh, thanks for simpsons BTW USA!) where they are taking the piss out of "soccer"? They have the American guy commentating on it like its boring as hell, then the Brazilian guy whos commentating is shouting out loud and cheering and everything. :P Funny stuff.


You know, America became quite interested in football once their national football team beat England before, they didn't really care much before that.

It's sort of like The Ashes in cricket, everyone became interested when we finally beat Austrailia. =\
