Working on a small RPG right now, and here I am after making the base character. I want to add some idle animation for him, (When he's just standing around), but I can't seem to think of a good method. The most I can think of would be adding some "Blowing" effects to his hair, to make it seem as if the wind was blowing. But that just doesn't seem like enough. The character is contained within a 64x64 canvas, but is more or less 32 wide and 64 high. I want to provide the character with animation, just not in a way that will make him look like he has Tourette Syndrome.
P.S It can't be a battle stance, this is just for when he is standing. He also has a ponytail.

Could you explain what the game is about, for now I can only say a sword play animation(when and if they have a sword). Or a timed jog in place?

Well the plot is still up for grabs, it's mostly about a ... Well the main character is what we're calling him for now, as players will be able to name him themselves. Official name hasn't been thought up.
It is an RPG, based off of fighting with swords and magic. So the sword play animation has some promise for later in the game, however at the beginning there will be a good chance of starting off with fists, not to mention that the Hometown, or rest area, will most likely have your character forcibly unarmed (So no sword). But both of those are good ideas, I can take the timed jog in place into effect for now, and later make a separate animation for the swordplay if the character chooses to use swords. Thanks for the ideas :P. |
