I'm sure some european (and any non-american) members know what Kinder Eggs are.
They're chocolate eggs, with a toy inside.
However, they're banned in the US. Importing them is illegal, because they have a toy inside. A supposed choking hazard - only 6 people have ever died from them, apparently. That's not a choking hazard, that's natural selection at work.
I've had Kinder Eggs, they're great. The toys are great too.
However some people are being arrested and fined for simply bringing these great things over borders.
Americans, sign the petition, please.

There wasn't a problem with this in the 90's man. We had wonderballs and they were better than kinder eggs. Wikipedia says they were withdrawn because a few kids didn't break the ball before eating and choked so I guess that's about the time kinder eggs were banned too. I don't know how in the world kids ate those balls without breaking them because they were like the size of a fist. How do you shove something that big down your gullet?

As much as I love the thought of Spoiled children choking to death on a Kinder Egg, I can only imagine the 6 people who died. Regardless of Natural Selection they had a future, and that was taken away by Kinder Eggs.

In the modern world Natural Selection doesn't apply to many. Regardless of how stupid they were, they would still have had a future.

I didn't say to Ban Kinder Eggs
I'm just not keen on bringing them back. People are allergic to peanuts, and people can choke on toys. Anything we ingest could kill us under the right circumstances. I'm simply not going to bring back the snack with a solid object in the middle, with a target audience of mostly children. | |
