This guy is srys bsns. I like how people here can barely put together a decent looking 2D base, but this guy makes making a 3D one look easy.

You haven't seen how the butt is modeled.
Looks great.
Uh, this art is terrible. The bald Dude's boxers need to be white. This is Byond after all.

But serious, that's nice and I'd like to see those animated.
This.. on a byond game... ? ok. it looks great and.. ill be waiting.

Well he did get the bald head right, so lets give him props for that at least.
I'm a little lost as to why it's 3D. How would this work in a BYOND game exactly?

The same way that this can be implemented into a side scrolling game. It is just frames captured at the same angle that is used in the 2d game.
Hey everyone,
If you read back in the blog far enough, you'll see that we were originally going to use pixel art. However, after doing some research and getting some quotes, I found out that isometric pixel art is usually traced over a 3d model, so the price of isometric pixel art is actually higher than the price of 3d models.

These models will be rendered down into a sprite sheet, similar to Diablo II or Ultima Online.
That's nifty. I'm looking forward to seeing how this will look in the game itself - keep us posted. :)
