I know byond dimes are out of the question but what about micro transactions via subscription.
What I'm thinking is adding a new option for games that are set up by the game maker.
This option allows you to change the "type" of subscription for their game.
In my case let's say I wanted to award the player with ingame bonuses when they subscribe, but for some reason these bonuses were limited in nature, meaning they had to repeatedly purchase these over time (if they wanted to).
What I'm thinking is have the subscription rather than last for months, expire when the game maker checks to see if the subscription is active. If so, give the player whatever you were going to give them, and reset the subscription to non existent or not having one -whichever.
Thus it's sort of a mix between dimes and the current subscription.

You could just program your own system for this BYOND doesn't really have to add this.

I posted it as an option for people who don't want to take the time to program it themselves, lack the skill, and want to use byond to do so, as well as an option to also help byond turn over some additional revenue (which was my main point in posting). |

Hasn't there already been a request to allow players to purchase 'In-Game Tokens' of sorts, which will allow people to choose between Subscriptions, In-game Tokens or both? That's what essentially Byond Dimes are, and my understanding is that they no longer want to deal with the "hassle" of that, so they aren't too interested in bringing that back. |
These would allow players to buy featured weapons, clothing, items or whatever. Similar to many of the facebook games.
