I realize this is nothing new and that a lot of people already know about this, but for those who don't take an interesting look at this:

BYOND through the ages

It is part of something called the Internet Archive Wayback Machine and captures a website at certain points of the year, in BYOND's case there are records back to 2000. You can view the site exactly as it would have appeared on that day of that month of that year.

Pretty interesting to see how BYOND developed, I know my favourite time at BYOND was probably during 2007

What was your favourite design BYOND had or when were your BYOND golden days?

2003 when I joined in July was definately the best layout in my opinion.

No guilds or specific category for hosted games, every game that was hosted appeared in a list and that was it. Well correction, there was categorys but it just seemed better back then. Looking at this makes me miss the old days haha!
BYOND at 2005. Holy shit so much nostalgia.

Incorrect. Games without a hub (had a temporary hub created during hosting) and games that were without an official channel appeared in the "Unpublished Games" section.

It wasn't.

I don't.
Well I guess that's why there is opinions haha.
Unpublished was better than what we had before the recent site change. That time period between the removal of Unpublished and the most recent site change was just awful.

Also, I miss 2005 too. Proelium, DWM, BoE, MJ... life was good.
LwG -> Life was Good.
LG -> Life -ain't- Good.
Well lets wait till the next step of Byonds evolution. This next site update, what could it hold for us.

04-06 were the best, don't know much that happened before 04. But, it seems that barely anyone played BYOND back in 03 and it looks like their were barely any good games.
There were some good games when I joined back on November 26th/27th, 2003. That's not even counting Dragonball Zeta considering that was the first game I played on BYOND. I have in fact tried other games during my early days.

Online games I played during my earlier days: Seika (now Teridal) by Iccusion Entertainment and Survival by Polatrite (the original game)

Offline games I played during my earlier days: Bullies and Nerds (though I haven't really played any multiplayer), Draggin' Ballz 4k (thought it was pretty cool and funny), and several other games. Rips do not count (as they play too much the same and definitely not fun to play a rip).

Now, if my memory serves me right, it used to require activity to get anything published to channels at all. Later on, they even went inactive (probably because of the switch to BYOND Members with new support added later). Definitely right about many games under the unpublished section.

I could go on about the history, but that should be it for now. :P
