I am on a search to find out who byonds Top 10 Pixel artist are.So why not with a contest so here the rules.
Contest rules
.Must be a sprite in a pose (pose is up to you)
.Must be 64x64 or bigger
.6colors or more
.you must give your sprite a name (ex:lady with no eyes)
What do you win?
well you will win the title of one of the Top 10 pixel artist on byond.Also you will get a one of a kind avatar for you byond page.
A poll will be posted to decide the winners on 10/16/11
all entry's must be in by 10/15/11 and posted here

Twelve colours or more as in we must have more than twelve? If this is the case, then I highly disapprove of and will boycott this contest, as I work in using 8-bit pixel art and at most use three to four colours per sprite.

It's not likely the top pixel artists on BYOND will all be participating (if any), so the title of "Best pixel artist on BYOND" judged solely on this contest isn't worth much. And if someone ends up the best pixel artist, why would they want an avatar made by someone who isn't the best pixel artist. Even though I've said that, I'll probably end up joining if I get bored between now and the end of the contest.

I'm not really interested in an "Empty Title" (no offense Worley), I just see it as something to do, besides competition and winning can be a prize all in itself, but I wouldn't plan on entering these kinds of contest often at all. I've never done pixel art that wasn't moving (let alone larger than 64x64), so that's one of the reasons this is interesting for me.
EDIT: Well, I've never "filled" a 64x64 image with...picture, i guess.. (A background and such) | |

No, but since he said I'd get a one of a kind avatar for my Byond page, why not give whoever it is a world to live in? I don't think it's a base contest hence, "Must be a sprite in a pose (pose is up to you)" so it only needs one state. (If I perceived your question correctly.)

And here goes everyone trying to make a contest after I made a blog post about it... nobody could wait for a good format, and now the idea is slowly losing its value due to piss-poor hosts and shoddy rules and themes.
