It's generally what happens when you open-source something. =/

It really all depends on the mood of the leader. If he's nice enough then hopefully he won't use your icons, if that's not the case then I agree with the other person in that you should see it as experience. Every dark cloud has a silver lining, I wish you the best of luck.

In any project, group, establishment.. etc. There has to be a leader. Generally the programmer of a game is the most dominant member. If there are multiple, the lead programmer / owner or whatever is generally the leader. This type of deal isn't exactly escapable unless a member of the team has rights or some kind of power over the project. The programmer being the most dominant is the problem... it should be 50/50 especially if the pixel artist is doing this work for free... when i join a team its not a, we came together to make a team but you work under me... im not working on anything and not have a say on it when im working for free. @Dariuc - would if your source gets leaked due to email spoofing or something similar to what happened to goa ? that happened to GOA twice and nothing was done... other than there being mass GOA rips and now one on the main anime page... js. |

REVIVAL OF OLD THREAD
In case any of you were wondering, (No), The coder and I ceased our partnership. He was somewhat unstable, and snapped after I told him to cheer up. After a bit of arguing, I believe I crushed his spirit, then blocked him on Skype and told him I was finished. So it's all fine now. I tried to get along with him and succeeded for a week or so, but his attitude was simply too much and our compliance collapsed. As far as the icons go, I've learned to let go. He can have them for all I care, but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to spread them all over the internet as sole creator :P. ^(Joking)(Won't give you my icons) On another note, my day's going pretty well now that I no longer need to deal with that guy. Also my free time has now been freed up exponentially. Sorry to revive an old thread, just figured I'd catch it up to date and give it a conclusion. |

It's good to have a leader, but.. there are good and bad leaders.
If he's being a jerk / undesirable team leader, you'll just have to dump him and request he doesn't use your work. If he declines, that's about as far as you can take it being civil. Good leaders lead out of respect and responsibility, bad leaders lead out of entitlement and selfishness.
