20% (11)I was wondering, lets say...to make something of your byond Site you need to know at least BASICS of CSS.
Right?..well i was thinking, of all languages why did they pick CSS?..what do you think?...i mean come on..why couldn't it be HTML?.
HTML is easier, and i am sure at least half of players on byond know more then basics, for HTML.....while to be honest..CSS is a drag.
I just did some edits on my site, trough CSS and man what a pain..if it was HTML it would be so much easier to make something of a site, but this way...its a drag..and painful one it is.
So..what do you think should byond rather enable HTML coding for edits on member's site..or perhaps leave CSS?

I think CSS enables you to create nicer designs, the HTML is already there, the CSS is to design that HTML.

Well, on the BYOND member page, no. But you can edit the CSS to make the HTML code look as good as you want it to be.

HTML allows you to create the content and the structure of the site while CSS allows you to make it more pretty than HTML would ever allow you to.
If you're learning both eventually, start with HTML. | |

1st you CSS is bugged.
Second CSS can be used to make layout on the cite and say where you want it. It is way more powerful then HTML would ever be. Besides it would be a pain in the ass to do all of the HTML coding for a site it take ages | |

CSS > HTML when it comes to design and beauitful works of art.

Advantages of CSS over HTML for designing the appearance is the fact it can make the whole task much quicker than trying to create the same thing for each section in HTML. To put it this way, CSS definitely reduces the amount of work needed to make a lovely website in terms of appearance.
Of course it is good to learn HTML first before learning any CSS at all. Reason for that is if one were to make a website that utilizes any CSS must also know HTML to put the actual structure together. | |

Nice Teka123 (referring to learning CSS before HTML). I guess because when I first learned a bit of HTML from an existing .html/.htm file 13 years ago about, CSS was not a big deal yet. I just started 5th grade I believe when I first learned some basic HTML from an existing file. Of course I didn't learn more till years later.
If anything, I can get you started on HTML development and use the powers of CSS with it. | |

Sorry, but i've been looking for rp games for the past year and since I finally heard about the star wars game back up I was excited till it shutdown I mean I always go through a long ass wait just for on to pop up and I was looking at the screenshots of that game and I see the whole ship thing going on...I mean I haven't seen that at all please consider bringing it back I believe other people feel the same way. T.T
