The thing about WWII was that it was an essential war forced on the participants by the invasion of actual countries. It was about nations fighting for their own survival, not about going in and shooting some poor brown skinned guys because they had some oil that the white fat-cats wanted*.

The only similarity between the two is that they both should never have happened.
