Six-legged puppy found in Malaysia
Normally when I see something like this, my brain is screaming "Photoshop job." But there doesn't seem to be any evidence of that, and a few "reputable" news sources have also picked up the story (Google News results). Interesting story assuming it's true.
I'd love to see some video of this little fella just to see how well he really gets around. I wonder if the extra legs are functional? Will he live a relatively normal life? I figure his odds have to be a little better than for those who reside in the Two-Heads-Are-Better-Than-One section of this file.

Unfortunately, such genetic abnormalities almost always indicate a propensity for health problems and, inevitably, a shortened life span. Often, such anomalies occur with more severe internal problems, such as heart or lung deformities. Nonetheless, if properly cared for, animals with non-life threatening abnormalities can do fine, much like severely injured and maimed animals.
