Just came across this on a message board I like to read every so often. One of the members made it. It's two of Nickelback's hits played back to back.
I always knew their songs sounded the same but I didn't realize that the tempo was even the same. What a crappy band. I wonder if the same thing works for linkin park?

Do you have uber gobs of cash like they do? Didn't think so.

I always knew their songs sounded the same but I didn't realize that the tempo was even the same. What a crappy band. This coming from someone you supposidly appreciates music? I guess I was wrong. |
Sinyc, what the hell are you talking about?
He is completely right. and pointing out their crap shows he DOES appreciate music. |
Nickelback, like so many other bands, have found the formula for creating a hit song. They write their songs to be hits by copying their past successes. This is the wrong reason to write music. I cannot find it in myself to appreciate what Nickelback does.

I thought 'back to back' meant one plays and then the other plays, but I'm only hearing one song. Is it actually one song played over another song? If that's the case... wow.
|
Hmm, I opened it up in audacity, and the problem appears to be the fact that I only have one speaker and therefor cannot hear the other song :P
let me get some headphones. |
Listen to the songs one at a time and it is obvius that they have two differant beats. One of the songs was played much louder then the other, drowning out the other a lot.
And even if they are similer, thats what, two songs out of five albums? Go home. Nickelback owns you. |
They're pretty much the same song with different lyrics. The drum fills are a little different, big deal.
|
I guess Evil is a big NB fan, huh?
Personally, I couldn't care less. Most of these groups are the equivalent of mass produced beers- occassionally entertaining but will make you vomit if you take in too much at one time. |
They aren't crappy, not by a longshot. They aren't the most original band, but they're still very good.
And tell me, when did it become such a bad thing to give people more of what they want? |
