I'm currently looking into ways of getting Animal Forest out into the public eye. I've asked for it to be added to a few sites such as onrpg.com and gameogre.
Doees anyone else have some suggestions of free ways of advertising a free java MORPG?
Mind you, I don't mind shameless self advertising! :3

Social Networking is a big asset when it comes to advertising. There are millions of people on Facebook, you should take advantage of Facebook Pages, and maybe even some ad space. Twitter is also a valuable tool. Be sake use of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Facebook like Exploshun said. Also, YouTube is essential. You could also just email a bunch of MMORPG or indie game websites - most of them would be more than happy to showcase your game if it's good.

Try uploading it to some online gaming sites. You'll get publicity for it but I doubt you'll get the kind of publicity you 're thinking.

Why did you port that BYOND game to Java? To be honest, I feel like BYOND isn't really progressing, if anything, BYOND has less players then it did a couple years ago, not to say that it won't some day. Oh, and I run Mac. |

Also, yeah, I seriously don't think the game was good enough to consider porting it to another programming language. There's too many improvements to be had. (Regardless of whether Yut Put was trolling or not.) Oh, you run Mac. Woe is you. Install a windows OS on it or something, sheesh. (Or use Wine or whatever it is people are using nowadays to use Windows programs.) |

I enjoy this port, and would like to work on it with you. Know anything about web design or java? :O I really could use the help. I'm a 1 man army as of now. |
Okay, sorry for being a douchebag again.
Just slap me around a bit. People should do that more. |
