@DM Blog and fans: You guys are going no where with what you're doing. Take some time and learn how to interview and post some good content. Take criticism for what it is and stop deleting comments just because you don't like them. Grow a pair and learn to do things right. Hold on there, we haven't deleted any comment whatsoever, don't just say things. Check our blogs, all the immature bashings and stuff towards us are still there along with the half decent comments. If we get "nayed", we won't try and look good by saying the nays are the new "yeas." Some people actually like the not-good-in-your-opinion content so leave it that. And the fact that we have 16 fans in 2 days, is quite an achievement and surely we're going somewhere with this, seeing as we're soulless people :) |
You know, I actually just want to point this out, they didn't get "nays" and then say "oh it's cool nay us!". What happened is they got a lot of yeas, but someone posted about how they nayed and they came up with the idea that true BYONDlings nay, not yea.
People like their content and nay because they like it and it's their "fad". |

My comment was deleted, along with a few other people's comments. I'm not "just saying things", I'm speaking the truth. Anyone can get fans for posting crap on the site. I have over 100 fans on my blog and I barely ever make any posts. The number means nothing. The point is, if you're going to do something, do it right. Asking any random person, a number of questions that have to do with nothing important, is a bad way to have "journalism". You may have 16 "fans" that like what you're posting, but you have A LOT more people giving you criticism on what you should do and you're just ignoring them. But do as you please and continue what ever you're doing. I can assure you that you're not going far with it. |
If anything, Heyya beats me in the sense that he will be taking Journalism classes. I am in my senior year of high school, and sadly they dropped that from the classes... a lot of things really.

Heyya46 wrote: Well I apologize for that, I'm not the only one who has control over the site, so I never got to see your comments or anyone else's that may have been deleted. However, I'm sure me and the others would accept criticism if it wasn't harsh and actual constructive criticism. Joining the Journalism guild isn't a suggestion, it's a raised and repeated question which has been answered already. What you just told me now - 'Asking any random person, a number of questions that have to do with nothing important, is a bad way to have "journalism"' - that is criticism we would have taken. Not what we've been getting so far. But as we said, we aren't trying to emulate Journalism, we're just doing things our way, so we never seeked the approval of similar blogs. If you think it's going nowhere, fair enough, we're not trying to get noticed from outside - This is just a way to kill time and do something unique along the way. |

You didn't need to say that haha but thanks for the support, I would be starting it in Fall 2012 anyway. |
okay, to be fair your motto "revolutionizing BYOND..." really does imply you're trying to do something.

You'll probably get a better view. I plan on actually doing my blogs on -my- member page via video where I just discuss things in front of the web cam if I can get it to work. The angle from that picture did make me look older, but I am sure I look younger.

Please stop saying things along the line of: "omg they called us soulless!" or "we do this and that, even though we're soulless!" That was a joke that apparently went right over your heads, taking it seriously just makes you look bad, and I really do think you're better than that.
Also: We made DMBlog because we were bored and wanted to provide the community with something new and unique. I would be completely with you if it was actually unique, but it's the same thing as journalism. That's the main issue is seems. People like your blog but they disagree that you're saying it's new and unique, because it isn't. I have no problem with DMblog, at all, just try not to say you're doing something you're not. o__o |

Haha don't care about being called soulless, wouldn't have even know if Atriosv3 didn't tell me. Atleast we never started any name calling even as a joke. I understand your point but people don't realize that this is new, 2 day old guild. We haven't finished the site up yet as well. There will be more than interviews with BYOND unknowns, updates on unknown games in the making and polls of the week. Some people are just impatient. As of now the only similarity is the interview part, we'll only be updating the community with games they haven't heard of yet. |

I'm waiting for the day when we start trying to interview the same people. lol, same. I can see where DM Blog is coming from, just because I don't find someone attractive doesn't mean I have to tell them. So since it was public, it could strike "some" people more heavily than others. But then again, it is DMcast, so they can say anything they want. In short, DMcast wasn't wrong to talk about DMblog, but the way they spoke about them wasn't very respectful (purely based on what I've heard on the comment board only). So there's really no wrong or right here. Remember, DM Blog has only existed for about 2-3 days and they're trying to defend themselves, so how about we try to help them and build them up, if they fail then they can do that by themselves. |
