The quality people are still way outnumbered. If you're picking random BYOND users, you'd be lucky to pick a 12 year old anime game ripper. You'd even be lucky to get a 12 year old anime game GM. You'd most likely get an 11 year old anime game player (most BYOND users only play games).

Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but I have a feeling that "random BYONDites" doesn't mean "randomly selected BYOND users" and it really means "hand-picked people I think deserve attention even though they're not doing anything noteworthy enough to attract the attention of the current set of BYOND news blogs."

BYOND needs games, not news blogs. I can't imagine that the DM Blog is an effective use of anyone's time.
My only issue is that Oasiscircle, a BYONDling, is listed over to the left as a BYONDite. I do not approve of a member from an opposing tribe attempting to commune with us. There are no alliances or truces during this tribal conflict - just pure ruthless warfare.
@EmpirezTeam: I don't mind not being on the Follow list. I was just wondering if any of these articles would ever sum up to something interesting to read.
Well this is cool.

Anyway Journalism content returns Monday just as originally planned.
I can see where FA is coming from, if the random guy is saying, "Any new sources?" while drinking his soda, then it wouldn't be worth reading. But suppose you were just getting input from Byond people about their views on an upcoming game or a developer that's still new to programming, unfortunately I couldn't quite see how that would hold interest.

I also don't the Blog is the problem, the problem is the people of Byond. We don't have enough people doing stuff so a random player is more likely playing someone elses game. I suppose if you interviewed at least Some of the already high standing people like Bravo1 with Tanx, Forum_Account with Tiny Heroes, or perhaps even Teka and the secret behind his limitless cash flow. I don't think these guys would mind filling out interview questions, but I'm afraid there's not much new under the Sun...
The secret behind limitless cash flow is to sell crack and heroine. Meth is taking a big rise now-a-days too, so that's a decent investment. Marijuana isn't as big as it once was. Dealers gotta expand, bro.
Not a bad Css, Teka already had an interview with the Journalism guild, and it didn't make him sound like it was limitless.
Bring it.

I only meant that as a joke, I don't seriously think he's rich. I have seen his post in the past stating that he was low on cash and had to stop buying memberships on Byond. xD So yeah, Teka cash = not limitless.
As much as I would love to see better interviews and news on the front page, I don't think you guys will cut it. If BYONDJournalism would interview people who aren't known as much, I think it would be just fine that way.

Looking at their already posted interviews(aside from Fansasie Productions which chose well but asked not so well questions), they've all been either "big shots" or people already known all throughout BYOND, either because of their pixel art, programming, etc. That's all fine and dandy but there are a lot more people who are actually doing things that don't get enough exposure.

If this new "journalism" page does the interviews right then maybe it's worth sticking around but I think it should just all stay in one page, with the other guild that's already made.

P.S - I would suggest you don't do the poll of the week.

Well your feeling is right, we don't have a pot full of chits with all the BYOND member's names in it. We will obviously be choosing handpicked people. But the non famous ones. And not people who aren't doing anything for BYOND. You'd be surprised at how many original games are being made(most of them don't have hubs) and we'll be interviewing those game developers as well as people who left BYOND. I haven't followed BYOND Journalism much so don't expect the same interviews.
I like this CSS. :D
@Yusuke: me too, i wonder who made it :D!
