So I've just managed to install my new motherboard and CPU. it's working fantastically, except that windows XP SP3 dislikes my CPU greatly.

As a result, I'll have to update my OS to Windows 7. At least this way I'll be able to keep my files since I'm just going from win xp to win 7.

so, hooray, I wont lose any of my porn *cough* I mean, my ummm... my source code! Yeah, source code, that's it...
Source code. Luls.
haha I'm not sure you'll find win 7 much better, it's made some features on my comp really unresponsive and caused multiple crashes since i installed it. not to good lol.

I want you to share your project with me so I can play around with some ideas. I fully expect and respect the no but I have to try anyway.

I can promise whole heartedly not to share the source with anyone. I'm on a private PC only used by me with no other BYONDers in the house hold. I won't do anything with the project except share and discuss my findings with you directly.

I want to play around with various game concepts for which I have a number. Most involve slowing the game way down. In one case, I was wondering about a turn based game where you select the tanks and move them via pixel coordinates.

I'm hoping I've displayed some sort of integrity to the point that you could trust me with such a thing but I know that's a stretch at best.

I wasn't able to do an update and I ended up doing a clean install. I did backup the source code for Tanx so, thanfully, I can't say "no" because of my own ineptitude.

I will however say no.... for now. I don't mind providing the source for Tanx, anyone who tries to copy it is going to be blatantly revealed so it's not like giving out the source would be a bad thing. I don't want to give it out just yet though. My code is very messy, ugly, and there's a lot of things I have to fix over the next few versions. Remind me about it for 1.2 or 1.3 and I should have a much cleaner and more effective source for you to look at.
@Bravo1:

Understood.

:) Funny how we worry more about what our peers will think of our coding abilities vs other things. For me, your coding abilities are at the bottom of my interest list. I'm far more interested in the end result.

Something I thought of last night that I realized I should have mentioned. If I had come across any improvements or ideas to make the existing game better, I would send those your way. That includes the start-up troubles I've had. Figured I would tackle that issue for you first.

Anyway, I respect the decision. Hope to see more updates once you get yourself back online.
