A late showing of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and a VCR recording The 4400 prevented me from seeing this week's Family Guy. I went online to find it. Normally, I'm against downloading content without permission. However, I tend to let it slide when I miss a television show, especially if it's a serial. I delete the files after watching them, but the networks still lose the commercial viewings which isn't good for the show's longevity.
...I'd probably be more sympathetic if I didn't have to navigate some Flash monstrosity when I want show info. That's not a justification. It's just something I thought I'd throw out there. Network television sites suck.
I found the episode I was looking for. Of course, Family Guy isn't a serial so I might as well wait for it to air on Cartoon Network.
More importantly, I found a bunch of episodes from the second season of Tru Calling. I looked it up and found out that the second season started in August and the show had been cancelled. Granted, I tend to stick to my satellite while my local channels, including FOX, come through cable... but I never knew the second season was on. =(
...Ah, frell. I'll wait for CN to air FG. C U later.

Meh, I've seen every HP and LOTR movie in theaters the first week they came out. And yes, I saw it again last night, too ;)

*snicker* I realize I provided a link, but was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets anything other than a one sentence distraction in my post? I was about to go off on how I wouldn't download a theater movie until I finally realized that my rant would have nothing to do with your comment. =)
Whatever. ;) Thanks for noticing me. </Eeyore> |
I have no problem downloading TV episodes for precisely the reason that you can't always have the VCR ready, or something may screw up, and it's just nice to be able to see what you missed.
Most shows these days don't have a full batch of reruns, and usually if anything is rerun it's not the episode you missed. |
