Don't feel like writing up a big whole post like I did a few days ago... But I just watched this incredible movie sort of thing called Earth2100. It's pretty much a documentary using clips from around the world and a nifty comic-animation that depicts what is going to happen to the world from 2015 to 2050 and 2100 because of our ignorance and pollution and such. It's very realistic to me, but I find it strange that many people are going on through the motions and ignoring all the big problems that can possibly hurt/hinder everyone, everywhere in the near future. It seems that, through many projections and estimations, many scientist predict that we are all going to be dead. Wether it be by zombies and aliens or the ozone layer dissapearing, something is going to kill us?
Not to be rude but, instead of working at Burger King, why not become a doctor or a scientist of some sort? Why do people do such strange things for a living when they have oppurtunities to make money and live better lives if they put more effort into it?

In my own opinion, I think global warming as science sees it is total BS. Sure, I think we are having an effect on our planet, but not anything near what Al Gore and other "scientists" think. The planet goes through typical warming/cooling phases and before you go mentioning the charts Al showed in that fail of a video he did; ask him about the charts he didn't show. (srsly)

You should have another option for both Naturally occuring and human caused. We know the earth has had drastic climate changes before humans were pumping chemicals into the air.
But its not like our pollution has no effect. We are destroying the ozone layer which allows more heat and radiation to enter our atmosphere from space. I think its a mixture of both. |

Al Gore is a hypocrite anyway so I wouldn't take his words without many, many grains of salt. |
I watched his video. His graphs were very dramatic. Then I read a few articles about him. I was suprised.
And I know that the degration of the ozone layer will harm us, but wouldn't global warming and it's various consequences harm us more than more light radiation reaching the surface unfiltered? |
We need fast food restaurants so America can stay fat and unhealthy and constantly dish out billions of dollars for prescriptions and medical treatment. Most of what we go through physically is a result of what we put into our bodies. We weren't meant to eat greasy, processed chicken and burgers that have been injected with hormones and steroids. And don't even get me started on the FDA.
Sure does taste good, though. |
I think all hope will be lost, because so far it seems that the human race is getting stupider by the generation. That's my two cents. Nobody has any sort of common sense anymore.

Its because some people don't want to learn and that's the best place they can get.You try to tell them to go to collage but they don't listen.Arther a while when they have children they regret doing the choices they did.And i think the world wont end is 2100 we will find ways to make sure we live in the future.Maybe he take over other planets but we need smart people.

I can see how society is brainwashing kids in certain ways. Like kids playing games like "Who can stare at the sun the longest" or "Say Uncle!" and such.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/gorehome.asp The irony is that your link shows that even though Gore used more power, he had a decent explanation for some of the extra usage (using it as a business) and he paid extra to get all his power from renewable sources. Regardless, right now, we're in a relatively cool cycle, so warming and mass extinction was inevitable, but we probably helped speed up the problem. Also, pollution is no good, too, especially pollution from pharmaceuticals, farms, etc. as they have a big impact on life. |

The planet goes through typical warming/cooling phases FYI: The current 'warming phase' is higher than any other warming phase by an absurd amount, and corresponds amazingly with carbon emissions, too much to be a coincidence. It does not match any pattern. |
