Improvements to the Contests & Events forum

Issue hasn't been assigned a status value.
Here's a few suggestions that could potentially improve the results of contests:

  • Display on-going contests in the Home tab of the BYOND pager. This could result in an increase of contest participants.


  • There should be a 'Participate' button aside(or where ever) a contest's post so that it can look more professional; to prevent inconsistency, a list of all of the contestants should be available as well.


  • There should be a pager message(or a popup balloon) notifying contestants that a contest has started and/or ended.

Being a frequent contest-holder I would love to see things like this implemented. :)

Good suggestions. This would make sense in the new pager implementation we have coming out soon. It won't make it in the first iteration but we'll keep in in mind. I'm a big fan of encouraging developers (which is the impetus for the contest setup).
