"I'm actually not sure how Islam addresses the same issue"

The Islamic position is basically everyone is considered 'innocent' until they hit adulthood, which is generally regarded as post-puberty (as in, not the very second a girl starts her periods or a boy starts to grow hair). Judgement only comes post-death, and the rules and requirements for a Muslim to goto Heaven are a lot harsher than those for non-Muslims. The same applies in Jewish law, not so sure about Christian law.

We get some stick because some try to claim that 'knowing' about Islam but not converting is as good as disbelieving. Disbelieving in the Quranic sense is an absolute rejection of God despite believing in him, regardless of which religious denomination you are.

"Where have you heard Christians shrugging off the New Testament? "

Sorry, I meant the old Testament, as in Christians who will quote old Testament and then reject other parts of the old Testament. I wasn't questioning the Christian belief in the New Testament, if I came out that way appologies.

"I assumed Muslims had no problem burning Bibles."

Technically it'd be self defeating for a Muslim to burn a Bible, while the official situation of the Bible in the eyes of a Muslim is that its scripture that has been 'altered' with time, it still contains genuine stories about prophets also revered in Islam. To burn a Bible would be just as bad as burning a Quran.

I personally won't even touch a Bible if I have dirty hands, and treat it just as well as a Quran even if I don't necessarily believe what's in the Bible. Its pure respect.
And about Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood gets a bad name, the ones you need to be worried about is the Salafi groups Mubarak was supporting during his rule to combat politically minded Muslims into submission to the state.

Its a common Salafi position to be anti-engagement in politics until they see a chance to be involved in its leadership themselves. The same happened in Iran after the left/socialist leaning uprising against the Western backed oppressive Shah.
I support Empirez, he's not trolling, he's defending.

I do apologize if the assumption seemed just out of the air, I live in the U.S. (fyi xD)

Thought I'd get those links you were suggesting..

"On May 4, Al Jazeera English ran a report suggesting that U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan may have been violating anti-proselytizing rules by distributing Dari-and Pashto-language New Testament Bibles.

Central Command General Order No. 1 specifically forbids “proselytizing of any faith, religion or practice.” The footage came from documentary filmmaker Brian Hughes"

Now this is based on my assumption after reading the above paragraph, I don't exactly think they stock those Bibles in a library. It's obvious they're no exactly Christian friendly or Bible friendly. Christians get arrested all the time for things as simple as giving out a bible and are quickly put on trial. Come to mention it, I thought Sharia Law wasn't supposed to apply to those who weren't of Muslim faith, but it seems anyone can get "mistaken" easily.

That has nothing to do with Shariah law though, but Afghan civil law. It was well established and even pointed out to Coalition forces when they installed the Northern Alliance as the Government.
Acebloke is a nice guy. I enjoy his blog post.

I support ET as well. Even though he is my troll king, he is still an intelligent dude, and brings up a good defense for the issues presented. But, back on topic? It's old news. At least they have caught him. Or what's left of him.
