Tried out few other servers today, but can't find anything playable.
By the way, is there any way to get to that skype group now, when the server is down? I don't really want to write my skype here, in public since it usually results in tons of spam, advertising and such stuff.
I know they said they would keep us informed on what was going on, but it is completely possible that Valendr hasn't gotten word back from their hosting company. Like he said, they don't have control over the situation. I'm "annoyed" by this as much as anyone, but you can't be mad at the Hypatia Admins for not giving us info, when they may not even have it themselves.

Seriously guys, whenever RP Station 13 is up (seems to go up around 1400 Mountain Standard Time) that's where it seems most of the Hypatia folks go, myself included. Val is an admin there, and the other admin/host guy is pretty awesome. We've had some really good rounds in the past couple of days! Come on in.
Octwo just switched it over from TG code to Baystation, which I prefer I think, and they use Baystation law. It's awesome. | |
Well, i spent whole day playing on my oneplayer server. But it is starting to get boring. If it's really caused by hosting issues i believe i can help with this (already offered free server about 30 posts back). So, if you are interested message me on [email protected] - send your skype name so i can add you and we can discuss details. If you have any way to message Hypatia admins (skype or something) tell them about my offer. Also, i am almost always on IRC - EFNet network, name Atlantis, you can message me there.

Well I do hope they get it up soon. Darn the hosting company, Hypatia is the one server which you can force people to do tons of paperwork without having to be worried about getting murder. On a more serious note, Atlantiscze,, just name your server "Standby station" or something of the sort. All the characters should be able just to RP themselves in, about how all Hypatia employees are waiting at a random standby station while the main station gets repaired. Truthfully,though,I miss the constant extended RP, the seriousness of it (Only two constant griefers, and Billy Bob is harmless, even slightly funny at times)even the *giggle. It is a really good server. On the plus side, I learned how to set up the singularity on another server (I was always afraid that I would manage to let loose the singularity on Hypatia if I tried to learn how) but that is really it except for one case (I managed to make the entire command of a station go crazy over forms, and even the CMO joined in. Needless to say, it created a revolution against us and we all got murdered, but it was fun while it lasted. I can't wait till the station gets back up.

Well (did you notice about 1/4 of posts begins with "well"?), i can try to set it up myself. Problem is that it will probably take a day or so. I will do it, but don't expect anything great, only basic tgstation, unless anyone from Hypatia admin team sets it up. As i said, it's free. Win 2008 server, with TeamViewer access.

I had my own little system how to fill out forms and where to store them. Also, I can't wait to get back to Hypatia and apprentice in surgery. Doing my best to learn every single profession. | |

Well, localhost server can be fun too. It is a lot of work to keep that station running as only person onboard, mainly with random events turned on. Still, i should have that VPS ready in few hours so i will start up that public server.

You seriously think people are busy 24/7 and don't even pay attention to what they have said before for days? Valendr said that he/she would keep us informed which he/she didn't, and it's already almost 3 days.
