Check it out. I do drag on for a while, so feel free to close it halfway through if you're just interested in the gameplay instead of behind-the-scenes! ;)

Scratch that, you fixed it.

@Fugsnarf: I believe he said Delve was set aside and he wasn't sure if he'd get back to it.
Regardless, it looks great! Keep up the great work! |
It looks very fascinating; I am also an admirer of the gameplay concept. Keep us updated.

I always enjoy your videos. I think they are a great way of demonstrating stuff to today's ADD-riddled generation (to which I sadly appear to belong).
The only thing I couldn't figure out is if this was a BYOND game. And if not, I'd be curious what was being used for the server concept. |
@Tom: Thanks for your kind words.
Can you no longer see your own creation in front of you, Tom? Of course it's BYOND! (: |
Haha, that's awesome. Everyone is doing all of these fancy pixel effects these days that I can't really tell what's going on! I guess that's a good thing. I mostly asked because I wanted to "bump" your post to the games section but that would be weird if it was a java game or something :)
|
Looking good. Can you explain your .js implementation for mouse movement? I've made a number of attempts at smooth mouse tracking with pixel movements and have yet to come up with a decent solution.
I'm wondering if the game field is actually a browser. |
@Tsfreaks: Thanks! And nope, it's not a browser! (:
|
HDK's library handles mouse tracking very nicely, although the documentation is a bit hard to understand. It's what I used in shootah.
I can't say I'm not looking forward to Rocket Down. I just wonder when you're going to actually release something. After Toy Tanks, every other blog post is a new project. Unfortunately, at the moment, my computer is having trouble with javascript communicating with DS properly, so shootah's stuck until that and my motivation gets fixed. |
@Kaiochao: Were there that many "New Projects"? Only Delve was between Toy Tanks and now..?
Delve was discontinued because I had zero help and the community kept changing it's opinion about the graphics. |
