That's right: last night, two of BYOND's developers appeared on national television. Tom and I were seen across the country by ESPN viewers as we cheered the Clippers to their first playoff victory in 13 years. Click to enlarge the image:

Rich is the big guy standing up in celebration between us, and Bernie is on the other side of Tom. At this point in the game, Cuttino Mobley had hit back to back 3-pointers to put the Clippers up 16 points over the Denver Nuggets with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Here's a short video clip of our moment of glory:

And here's a longer clip with about a minute of context:

You'd think the Clippers were rolling on their way to a blowout win, but they decided to make it more exciting than that. They allowed the Nuggets to tie the game with one minute remaining, before scoring the final two points and sealing the win with defensive lockdown. When Carmelo Anthony missed a potential game-tying shot at the buzzer, the entire arena erupted in a frenzy.

I got a few decent pictures of my own with my old Olympus digital camera. As I blogged yesterday, I couldn't bring in my good camera, which would have undoubtedly gotten some spectacular shots. But these weren't too shabby.

Clippers lead the series 1-0. Game two is tomorrow night, same time, same place. We'll be there.
Rofl, I thought this was going to be like something about advertising.
Your layout makes dialup cry.
My voice is completely shot. I may have to come up with some sort of visual distraction to screw up the Nuggets tommorow, as I fear the vocal amplification just won't be there. Argh.
Well god luck with that Tom.
Bring large "Go BYOND.com!" signs next time, then we'll be famous! ;]
Wear a some of your BYOND gear and wear a bunchie shirt if you have one
Hey! Stop slacking off and work on 4.0 =P.
I will give you money if you hold a huge sign that says "I lub Evi of au!".

A large sum of money.
Better yet, get 5 friends and paint a letter of BYOND on each of them. Then, Mix them up. DYOBN FOREVER~!
Holy crap, I was watching that game last night. >_>
Does anyone else see Jesus? <_< Seriously...I see Jesus...

So our money really hasn't been going towards 4.0, it's been going towards fancy seats at a basketball game!
That was a great game....Melo should have had that shot though. Not that I'm a Nuggets fan though.
L.A. Clippers? What is the deal? Did the Lakers move to another town or something?
Oops, that was not an official BYONDscape comment. Sorry. But don't try to avoid the question! What have you done to the Lakers?
There are 2 teams in L.A., they share the Staples Center. Suns just got lucky first game, Lakers are gonna win the rest!
The Lakers no longer reside in Los Angeles -- they have a one-way ticket to Eliminationville via Phoenix. Meanwhile, the Clippers are running full steam to a second-round matchup with the Suns. Just need to take care of a little business in the Mile High City.

The Clipper bandwagon will be at full capacity next round as Laker fans abandon their sinking ship.

Go Clips!
I'm telling you, the Suns are taking it all.
