This is some early artwork for a game I have started to work on by myself. Post-Humanity is inspired by the fallout series, with gruesome secrets hiding in every nook and cranny of this now barren world. This theme will be apparent throughout the story driven quests.
The game takes place after one of many passing asteroids finally collides with earth. With civilization reeling to get back on its feet, people are taking advantage of the chaos, looting and killing all in their sight.
Whenever the game is ready for testing, I hope that four classes will be finished by then.
Basher- These brutes make use of their unnatural girth to crush enemies in close combat. Their physique is top notch, but their mental athletics fall far behind. They prefer the up close and personal feel of a melee weapon to the coward's "way of the gun".
Marksman- The long range shooters of the game. These types prefer rifles and pistols to bigger machinery that would otherwise slow them down. They shine in ranged combat, and their flexibility in weaponry make them a worthy foe in many battles.
Heavy Gunner- Heavy gunners like to see things explode. They prefer heavy artillery like Bazookas and cannons to the teetotaler guns the marksman use. But their preference to heavy guns comes with a high cost to their speed, and defense.
Psychic- A recent study before the asteroid hit showed that many humans had the potential to bring their minds to an enlightened state. The trauma of the world crumbling has awakened many of these people, and their abilities are formidable. What they lack in physique is made up in intelligence, and their ability to manipulate reality with their minds.
While progress on this game is accelerating in the art department, my programming skills are at an apprentice's level at best. I hope to have at least an alpha version of this game ready in late July.

Surprisingly, this idea is pretty fresh. I haven't seen a post-apocalyptic 2D RPG in awhile.

There was a MMO like this that basically flopped. Can't believe I forgot the name of it.

Found it:
It looks like a decent game but I guess it's not since almost nobody plays it last time I checked. The playerbase is supposed to be so low you feel like you're in the game by yourself. xD |

Looks pretty neat.. reminds me of "The Book of Eli" kinda setting. Lol, when I saw the first screenshot, I instantly thought of the house with the old couple from that movie. |
Looks great. I've always wanted to make a Fallout/Post-Apocalyptic MORPG. Best of luck!
