We are now hosting and running a chat system in place of Legacy to discuss the future.
Our plan is to pretty much go ahead and remake all we need to remake. Icons, sounds, classes, maps. Some things are sufficiently generic enough (seen in enough other places) that we'll be able to continue using them and we did have some custom work as well. I once got a spoofed email that was made to look like it was from Blizzard but the header information didn't match. They were saying they would shut down my WoW account if I didn't provide them with my information.
Not to mention that it was extremely suspicious seeing as I had never even played WoW. | |
Hmm, i'd wait to get an email from Tom or BYOND itself. If this email is legit, then BYOND will delete your hub from the page. Just wait and see.

So replace the graphics with original work and rename the game. Then you can start asking for donations/subscriptions and be listed properly(and probably featured).
I doubt you would have too much trouble getting a couple of decent artists to work on a game that's already established and successful. | |

I probably agree most with RobertBanks at this point. We have a great community, so if we change the map a bit, change the sprites a bit, and the enemies, we should be good, yeah? Might look kinda ugly at first, sure, but its better than nothing.

Additionally, the email [email protected] appears to be legitimate (taking a look at SE's website, and seeing the format they use), though I would type it in rather than copy/paste in-case there are letters they use to get by URL encoding.
