Now that you mentioned about a 3D I heard about Forum_account, I decided to make a proposal for Native Raycasting as a first step to First or Third Person 3D (though not true 3D). While I did see something of a 3D mode in a future release apparently, here is my just recent feature request (after your blog posts of course): http://www.byond.com/members/ BYONDHelp?command=view_tracker_issue&tracker_issue=3179

Feel free to feedback or extend upon it.

Edit: I know, it isn't as advanced as the 3D mode you mentioned. However, thought I would pitch in an idea for native raycasting support.

I believe that a lot of people would be satisfied if client.dir could support 8 directions by default. To be honest, if it did just that, I would be content for a few more months until the real 3D came out.
