Yes, I'm now 23 years old. Could say I was a teenager 10 years ago.
I'll give a brief history of my personal programming experience:
1999/2000 - First experience with the BASIC programming language. Used QBASIC at that time.
2001 - First experience with C (little bit) when trying to preparing for NWScript (Neverwinter Nights Script).
2002 - Tried learning C++ using the book my father bought. CD included with the book cracked a year later (contained Visual C++ Introductory Edition).
2003 - Began to unlock more programming skills after learning variables in math were related with programming. Developed my first real game called "Text City Simulator" using BASIC (through QBASIC).
2004 - Began to utilize the DM programming language. "Text City Simulator" was my first DM game to be released (which was a port of the BASIC version). First experience with Java and C++ (after finding out the latter wasn't being taught in the school I went to anymore and hearing about Dev-C++). This year was also my first experience with assembly.
I'll show a little bit more history in the near future. That is all I have to say. :P

I was originally going to retire from BYOND five years ago. However, staying around longer made me see it evolve even more. :D |
