At least Jamesburrow wasn't all psycho-anti-homosexual. But wow, they even compared homosexuality to beastiality... stupid.
edit: Haha, I just noticed the name of the site is "free jesus"... yeah. |
As far as Christianity and the Bible is concerned, yes it is possible that homosexual acts are forbidden.
BUT, I read somewhere that in older times, the "gay secks" was possibly known as a display of dominance over another person and may not have been intended as a methof of affection. It made sense when I read it, but anyway... What is worse then the sin of Homosexuality? If I recall correctly, any sin makes a person imperfect. Congratulations, that person is human. Condemning a person for not maintaining an impossible standard is not only terrible, but a sin too! "Judge not lest ye be judged by others", I believe. The Bible doesn't speak much of the sin of Homosexuality? It also doesn't speak of incest or bestiality much more neither? Guess you want to make them legal and not a sin also! Isn't this a slippery slope argument? One does not cause the other. Homosexuality has nothing to do with incest or bestiality or necrophilia or whatever "ity" or "philia" you come up with. Strange, I didn't know it was possible for a homosexual to be considered a pedophile if he doesn't have sex with an underage person... The Bible passage, John 8:3-11 is a riot. Am I reading this correctly or is JESUS HIMSELF SAYING HE REFUSES TO CONDEMN THE MAN? Doesn't this fly in the face of everything that this webpage is saying? Here, allow me to quote a piece from my favorite Bible passage. Matthew 6:5 And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. To paraphrase, don't flaunt and push your religion on other people. Edit: If I'm reading this correctly, I think Jamesburrow is attacking this article as well. It doesn't sound like he's trying to agree with it. |
