Hi all its DungeonDan I just want to point out a few things i dislike about posting help ads on byond.
1) If someone is asking for a Programmer/artist why comment about there spelling thats not what they wanted help with.If the post has a nice format and gets the point across then that should be plenty.
I hate seeing this on a help ad so please stop trying to be a know it all and STFU.If you dont want to help then dont worry about that post dont apply to you so just STAY AWAY.
2) If some says "Hey come play my game i just got it done check it out" Dont reply like this "Why post this its usless your just making spam" they bought a membership and can blog about anything they would like.Just tell them great job keep it up with out kids makeing small games that dont go anywere there would be no byond it just be NEStalgie.
But if you do make a blog post asking for Help or just asking for some one to check out your hard work Please do Put they info in a nice formate such as
Projects Name
description
Help needed
contact info
also put any links or other info in appropriate spots not just scattered around.and you might not get theys kinds of comments but other user shouldn't leave them so ya.
Just Food For Thought
PS I made sure to leave pleanty of spelling errors for your enjoyment mr.troll

You should learn how to spell...
|
Not to be a troll or anything, but there are those who would rather see people be able to spell words properly as well as maintaining proper grammar. True there are no spelling perfectionists, but it is important to know how to spell properly.
Now, I'm not too picky about spelling when I do see such errors. However, others may have higher standards (including companies you maybe working for someday). Company (Off-Topic) Related Note: If you ever do a resume, you must make sure to proofread it before sending it in. Otherwise, you will be rejected very quickly. On-Topic: That is all I have to say for now. And no, I'm not playing troll. |
Well, I'm a bit of a Grammar Nazi in most cases and it's still massive annoyance to have the blog page filled with "lololol i dun hav a hub no moar so cum play my awsom nartogam!11 we hav narto frog he rids on 2111!!".
That's my explanation, at least. |

Ok this is what I'm talking about right here Don't post on a blog if its not following topic but in this case its just kinda proving my point

lol well the comments did make me laugh, But DD you trolled with your blog post, so i'm sure you expected this to happen to prove that point. :)
Anyway making an effort in trying to spell correctly and show that you are a confident person who wishes to make a good impression or advertise is very important on the internet due to people who pick wholes, trolls and in general people will think better of you. Of course if your talking among friends only then it doesn't matter if you make a hundred spelling mistakes lol, like i do on msn lol. And if you don't care about making a good impression or getting better results, Then you shouldn't care about the trolls and other types of people who feel the need to comment :) |
The point is, if you're trying to offer a service or get someone to work for you, you shouldn't be surprised if you're ignored when you strt typeing lik dis.

The point is if you comment off topic and you see 18 comment on a post that says looking for code 9 times out of 10 the coder will look at that and say "um with all those comments he must have found someone" not say all of them will but most will so it kinda dooms you in they end |
