I would actually like to share the plot of my game : that's what I started on. It was intended to be a shooter. The premise is that you are the captain of a research ship out in deep space. Earthlings achieved the ability for deep space travel but are unable to travel using lightspeed for anything more than messages. The job of this ship is to travel around the universe collecting intel on life forms and elements of planets in the universe outside of our own galaxy.
You have 200 people aboard this ship and it has been away from earth for nearly 20 years now, several people, including yourself will most likely live an entire life here. As far as the main story is concerned, your research teams picks up 18 orbs. These orbs seem to absorb heat and light itself, alone they put off a strange energy, leading the chief researcher to think it may be an unknown periodic element. After collecting all 18 orbs which were scattered around a specific galaxy, the C.R. discovers that they are beginning to meld with one another, and within a matter of minutes they combine. At the same time you are dispatched to the habitat area of the ship to deal with some animals that have become hostile due to their new environment after being bought on-board. During this short period of time the C.R. shows up, to the habitat and slaughters several of the officers violently before being captured. Once confined he starts speaking gibberish, quoting passages from the Book of Genesis which is odd because he is not a religious man at all. Then he breaks his handcuffs, injects an unknown substance into you and bites his own tongue off, dying in the process. Just minutes after all of this happens, the lights begin to flicker and the computer's motion detectors discover several strange lifeforms in the habitat area. It seems your crew has bought something unexpected upon the ship... There's alot more to the story, but basically it was to be a space horror, with psychological and physical threats to really set a tense and scary atmosphere if done right- I would have just needed graphics for all of that - hence I dropped out. I really was interested in participating though! |

I'm on a losing battle against procrastination. To make matters worse, it is Feb 14, the most depressing day ever. I may put this project on hold.

So, who wants to help me judge then? How about the big names who dropped out? XD
|
Cool I really only want 5 judges total. So. three more? Jemai? Oasis? perhaps??
|
How much time left? Time pressure might give me a boost. If I can't make it, I'll help with judging instead.

You can still judge and make a game, you just wont be allowed to judge your own game =P
