Today we have: Signs and Locks.
Signs will be used to show important information that could be needed during playthroughs of dungeons, such as helpful advice or just indicators of what floor you're on. Either way, I think they look pretty neat and are just a nice touch to the game. I made sure to leave plenty of room so that each sign could be packed with information if it needed to be. I've chosen the Spacebar to be the default "A thing is here, and so now I do a thing." key, and it will be used for flicking levers, pushing buttons, and other miscellaneous jobs that aren't assigned to a certain key by the player.
I've also implemented Locks, which can be triggered in a variety of different ways. The one seen in the video is a Moon lock, in which the player must shine light upon a Moon tile to open up the Lock. Because Locks have a variety of triggers, I've set them up to have a universal "tag" that if any triggerable object goes off and calls for that tag, it will unlock that tagged Lock. (If that makes any sense.) This will also give way to a much easier time setting up rooms in the Custom Dungeon Creator, but that's a ways off. ;)
Anyway, here's the video for this update:
As always, watching that real Youtube video has better video quality.
And again, because this CSS is still too damn amazing, thanks to Teka123!
